[ keith isn't.... entirely sure how they managed to find their way back here. ( well, actually he does. pidge and hunk had explained it in terms that no one could really understand except for the two of them. ) anyway, what matters it that they've got some time and he owes a certain young lady a ride in the red lion and she owes him good and proper noodles.

it's a small reprieve from all the fighting they've been doing. each and every one of them is utterly exhausted from recent events – having been separated through wormholes is no small matter, but thank goodness for pidge managing to find a way back to each of them.

he has a good smirk at everyone calling lance 'lunch,' which is his favorite among the many nicknames the other paladin has accidentally given himself. their friends meet and get along more or less. the world is different than he remembers ( has it really been that long since they have been planetside? ) and futaba's friends are understandably curious about this gang of strangers setting foot in town. ( though, honestly, a bunch of robotic lions hanging around japan isn't anything to bat an eye at. )

finally, the two of them are alone and if keith didn't know what to do with himself in a crown, he sure as heck doesn't know what to do now that the noodles are done and they're sitting side by side at the counter. ]
